Dr Amir Akram MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Akram has lived and worked on the Sunshine Coast since 2003 and has worked extensively in hospitals in Melbourne and general practices in QLD.   He has joined RACGP Training Program and is a Senior examiner for RACGP.

Dr Akram has special interest in Travel Vaccinations, Aged Care, Chronic Disease Management, Family medicine, Cardiovascular health, Pre-employment medicals and all types of medicals.

Dr Akram speaks English and Bengali.

Dr Akram is welcoming new patients and is available 5 days a week and some weekends.


Dr John Fogarty MBBCH (Belf.), FRCS

Dr Fogarty has lived on the Sunshine Coast since 2000 when he joined Currimundi Medical Centre.  He studied medicine in the UK.   Dr Fogarty special interests are in diabetes, asthma, family medicine, minor procedures and palliative care, Travel vaccinations, skin checks, children's immunisations, implanon insertion and removal.

Dr Fogarty’s hobbies include sherlockiana and he is a keen advocate for daylight savings.  He plans to revive his tuition in French speaking, as topped his class at school in French and is eager to become fluent in the future.

Dr Fogarty welcomes new patients and is available 5 days a week from 7.30am and some weekends.


Dr Alison Roper MBBS, FRAGCP

Qualified in the UK (London) in 2000. Dr Roper has worked extensively in general practices and has post graduate qualifications in family planning, Mirena/IUD insertion, Implanon and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.  

Dr Roper has lived and worked on the Sunshine Coast since 2008 when she first joined our practice.

Dr Roper is a preferred provider with SCHHS Service for antenatal Shared care for your pregnancy and post natal care.  

Special interest in women's health, and children's immunisations.


Dr Alison Roper joined us in 2008 and will be taking 6 months extended to take on a role with Queensland Health as Acting Clinical Director of Breastscreen Sunshine Coast.   Dr Roper will be on  leave from 1st June, returning on Tuesday 8th January, 2019.  Our team of Doctors will cover Dr Roper's patient's till her return.



Dr Tony Moor MBBS, FRACGP (UQ)

Dr Moor was trained at the University of Queensland.  Dr Moor has lived and worked on Sunshine Coast for       22 years.  He was Senior Medical Officer and Director of Emergency Medicine at Caloundra Hospital until 2003, when he commenced general practice. 

Dr Moor’s special interests are Skins Checks and minor surgery, cardio thoracic medicine, aged care and  palliative care.  Dr Moor also offers venesections and iron infusions for patients needing these treatments.

Dr Moor is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and accepting new patients.



Dr Christelle Greeff MBChB, FRACGP

Dr Greeff was qualified in Pretoria, South Africa and gained her Fellowship in General Practice in Brisbane, Australia.

Dr Greeff is a general practitioner with interest in preventative health, women’s health and general medicine,

also offering Venesections. 

Dr Greeff enjoys a work-life balance, out of hours enjoying the outdoors and is a keen cyclist and enjoys the arts.

Dr Greeff speaks English and Afrikaans. 

Dr Greeff works till 6.30pm on Wednesday and Friday nights.


Dr Deborah Vercoulen MBBS(USYD), MIPH, FRACGP   

Dr Vercoulen has an interest in family health, women's health, paediatrics and disability.  Dr Vercoulen has a Family Planning Certificate in women's health, a Diploma in Child Health and a Masters in International Public Health.  She offers contraception advice, pap smears, implanon insertion and removal, STI screening, menopause management and breast checks for women.  Offering Iron Infusions for patient requiring this service.

Dr Vercoulen is listed as a preferred provider with SCHHS for antenatal shared care and regularly attends upskilling SCHHS workshops particularly in women's health and paediatrics.   Dr Vercoulen offers routine antenatal and postnatal checks as well as children's health checks including immunisations.

Dr Vercoulen is developing an interest in disabilities and caring for families with special needs.

Dr Vercoulen was trained at the University of Sydney and joined the Practice in 2013 after practising in the Northern Territory for many years in remote medicine, aboriginal health and general practice.   Dr Vercoulen is welcoming new patients.   Dr Vercoulen is available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 7.30am to 4.00pm and some weekends.




Dr Geoff Broad MBBS Qld

Dr Broad was trained in Queensland and has been practising for 30 years
in Queensland.

Offering Skin Checks, Recreational Dive Medicals,Pre employment and Company Medicals, Travel Vaccines, Children's immunisations and all family medicine.  

Dr Broad enjoys nutritional and environmental medicine and leads a healthy lifestyle enjoying cycling.

Dr Broad is available Tuesday to Friday, with late appointments available Wednesday and Fridays.

Dr Jonathan Jing  MBBS, FRACGP, AMC

Dr Jonathan Jing joined our Practice in January 2016 after working in Gympie for years as a General Practitioner.

Dr Jing obtained his fellowship of RACGP in 2012.   Dr Jing enjoys the diversity in general practice, with special interests in chronic disease management and preventative healthcare.

Dr Jing speaks English and Mandarin Chinese.







Dr Venera Edwards MBBS



Dr Venera Edwards joined us in June 2016 after moving from from Maleny where she had been practising  for the past few years and will be welcoming new patients.

Special interests include women and children's health.

Dr Edwards is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday and is accepting new patients.



 Dr Maria Adan-Bautista MD, DipCh, BSBio

Dr Maria Adan-Bautista graduated from Our Lady of Fatima University in the Philippines in 1990.

Dr Maria trained as a Paediatrician from St Luke's Medical Centre, Philippines, and has a Diploma in Child Health from UNSW and trained at The Canberra Hospital, Mater Children's Hospital and Royal Children's Hospital.

Her special interests are in Women's and Children's Health.  However offers all family medicine.

Dr Maria has moved from a general practice in Brisbane to join the Ocean Wave Medical Team as a Registrar to complete her fellowship.

Dr Maria is available 5 days a week and some weekends, is accepting new patients.





PSYCHOLOGIST -  Cornelia Bam

Cornelia Bam, Psychologist joined the team at Ocean Wave Medical full time in January 2016.   Consults available Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and some Saturday mornings.

Cornelia works and treats clients experiencing a variety of emotional and/or behavioural problems including

Depression, anxiety, stress, panic attacks, trauma, anger and aggression, obsessions and compulsions.  Sleep, Sexual and Relationship problems, including marriage counselling.  Pre-Natal and Post-Natal situations.

Accepting MHP and Private Patients.  Workcover patients, sessions covered by Workcover.  Accepting MHP.   Private patients can book without a referral and if you have a Private Health Fund you may receive a rebate from them.

 PODIATRIST - Flying Feet Podiatry, David Morgan 

David has a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry) graduating in 1997 and a Master of Health Science.  His main interests are health ageing and chronic disease management, particularly in relation to people with Diabetes.

PHYSIOTHERAPIST - Embody Physiotherapy, Rachel Morgan-Varlow 

Operating from our rooms at Ocean Wave Medical, Suite 5 is Embody Physiotherapy.   Rachel is also offering Clinical Pilates and Rehabilitation classes within the grounds of Caloundra RSL, 20 Third Avenue, Caloundra, one block from us.

Rachel is back from Maternity Leave and available Tuesday and Friday with Sara available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for physiotherapy.

Teena has a Diploma of Practice Management and has Business and Administration experience in Government, Education and Private Enterprise and has been a Business Owner.  Teena has been the Practice Manager since 2011.  Teena has lived and worked on the Sunshine Coast since moving from Brisbane in 2002.
